Can a Ramen Vending Machine Really Replace Your Kitchen? We Put It to the Test!

Sometimes, when hunger strikes in the middle of the night, what do you do?
Cook from scratch? Make instant ramen? Order delivery?

Now, there’s a new option—an intelligent ramen vending machine!
Freshly cooked, 24/7, no prepping, no washing, just press a button, and your steaming hot ramen is ready!

But here’s the question—can this machine really replace your kitchen?
To find out, I decided to conduct a real test: cook a bowl of ramen myself and compare it with one from the vending machine.
I’ll check the time, taste, and convenience—which one comes out on top?

⏳ Time Test

Cooking a bowl of ramen at home—boiling water, blanching noodles, preparing the soup base, arranging the toppings—takes about 15 minutes.
If you count washing dishes, even if you’re fast, it’s at least 20 minutes.

Vending machine?
Just 90 seconds!
Before you even finish replying to a message on your phone, your ramen is ready.

Taste Battle

Homemade ramen has a handcrafted feel, but the soup isn’t as rich as restaurant-quality ramen—after all, we don’t have 10-hour simmered pork bone broth at home.

Surprisingly, the vending machine’s soup is fragrant and flavorful, miles ahead of instant noodles, and even better than my rushed homemade version.
The noodles are chewy, the soft-boiled egg is perfect, and the overall taste is truly impressive.

Convenience

Cooking at home means buying ingredients, prepping, and washing up.
Hungry at midnight?
Delivery is expensive, instant noodles are boring, and cooking is a hassle.

Vending machine?
Walk up, press a button, and your steaming hot ramen is ready. The ultimate lazy food solution!

Conclusion: The Kitchen Stays, But This Machine is a Game-Changer!

Of course, an intelligent ramen vending machine won’t replace a full kitchen, but for those who don’t want to cook, hate washing dishes, or crave ramen late at night, it’s a total lifesaver!
